Downtown Oxford catches the spirit of the past, enriches the present, and embraces the future, and we are recognized as a National Registered Historic District. Oxford takes pride in its historical, walkable, friendly community with an array of unique shops, restaurants, and businesses.
The Oxford, North Carolina Main Street Program and DOEDC mission, in conjunction with its partners and stakeholders, is to instill action through promoting, planning and implementing downtown revitalization initiatives.
The DOEDC helps small businesses to grow and develop ways of expanding for both present and future endeavors, and we encourage a creative entrepreneurial spirit.
We put an emphasis on showcasing creativity. The downtown public Art Walk is one of the ways that the DOEDC is showcasing art and beautifying downtown.
Downtown Oxford is ideally positioned near the Triangle and is the traditional gathering place for Granville County, so allowing space for our goods and service industry companies to flourish is imperative to the community.
